PS2-less (a poem by me)

This beautiful machine
Whose present purpose
Is as a Gatherer of Dust

I try to tell myself
That all is well
That I can do other things

My time is freed
My mind is cleared
A bookshelf strains with potential

But…

Ico remains unfinished!
Tartarus is unexplored!
Not a single colossus lies slain!

But it’s not forever
Thank God!
Just 75 PS2-less days

And in that time, one hopes
The distraction of a new human child
Will suffice…
