The Green Bus Paradox and the Monumental Missing of Points

The Modern Western Capitalist World is based on Growth, Consumption, Expansion and Waste. There’s no getting away from this. These are its cornerstones. Oh go on then, since it’s the modern way of things, let’s create an acronym… GCEW… pronounced “GQ,” as in the magazine. Lovely! So with the MWCW (pronounced “MewKew”) having GCEW as its cornerstones, how can we hope to achieve an SSW (Self-Sustaining World)? Well… erm… we can’t… really. Especially not with “TGB” (“The Green Bus”) giving away free promotional city-polluting balloons the other day in the centre of Birmingham… and things. We can Grow, Consume, Expand and be Wasteful in more environmentally friendly ways, but… isn’t that kind of missing the point?

I agree wholeheartedly its a gimmick… this greenbus company… I’m sure they are no more concerned than any other bus operator about the enviroment… its all about money and image
