… is the album fans of Nine Inch Nails‘ atmospheric instrumental pieces have been waiting for. That’s not to say there aren’t any heavy, distorted guitars or distorted electronic twiddly bits on this album, or it is free of the rage of previous works, but what there is of these things is much more controlled and film-score-like than much of Reznor‘s work. That’s not to say that Mr Reznor is ever out of control of his rage, but you know what I mean!

I am, however, speaking from the perspective of having only thus far listened to the free 9 track sampler, but being a fan of NiN’s atmospheric instrumental pieces, I am hooked. I must acquire the other 27 tracks post haste!
